Caesar 3 is a 2D game; this is a one of Sierra Entertainment series of City-Building that was developed last 1998. The game
is based on Roman life some long years ago. This is just a
single-player game and you being the ruler need to properly strategize
everything in building your city.
You have to make the establishments of your city accessible to your
people, like Farms should have an easy access to Housing (for laborers),
the Granary, the Market or the Warehouse.
Another important supply in the city is the water supply, you’ll have
to make sure that every house and establishment in your city has a good
access on clear water.
There are a lot of establishments that needs to be considered like
hospitals or doctor’s clinics for the citizen’s health. Engineer’s posts
and Prefectures are also important for the maintenance of an
infrastructure and security of the area, which includes fire and crime,
respectively. Your people also needs Entertainment establishments for
enlightening your citizen’s mood. Lastly, don’t forget to build Temples for the gods or you will suffer their wrath by destroying your crops, sending barbarians to destroy your city and other calamities a god can make.
Yes, I like the game but it also has something I don’t like and that is, it has a few scenarios (in building a city) to choose from if you don’t want to play the campaign mode. In totality, I’ll give two thumbs up for the game, you’ll have to strategically plan your city and be Caesar yourself!
